Dear People,
We, as creative individuals, are looking for likewise creative, ‘Cohabitants/ Caretakers’ on our little ‘Off Grid’ mountain. One person or/and a couple, for several months or whole year round. The mountain of 2,5 hectare has some uncovered possibilities like for example a meditative labyrinth on the heliport to be build. Really in between the mountain on a open spot were the wind blows and the sun rises. This mountain place is supposed to be an ‘Artist in Residence’ where FREE space is provided.
You are an outdoor person and want to be helpful to make things beautiful. You see the big picture of what could be. You will have some small jobs to do like gardening, maintenance, building and puttering if you like, solving problems when they occur and keeping the place clean and creative. We live the ‘Leave no Trace’ principal. Maybe now and then you have to host some guests, but we are not really focussing on short stay holiday-makers. We are focussing on the long-term preservation of this creative, meditative and openminded mountain spot.
We like to focus on a very harmonic, open and peaceful surrounding where you can find rest, creativity and freedom to focus on your own process without disturbing others! Let’s be mindful, honest and flexible. Reconnect to your intuition and find yourself, is a great good. When things on the mountain are more finished, it could be fabulous to organize retreats about connecting to your inner soul and your awareness. This lurking place needs to live on! A new generation will take over and continu the good work after us.
This Off Grid mountain is not for everybody.

What to do on the hill?
There are two options here. You can contribute to the space around you, to the ‘little mountain’ or work on your own project. In fact there is no NEED to do anything BUT feel free to renew your direct surrounding by being creative. Make things beautiful by planting, building, painting, filming, performing, making music or food and creating moments of awareness within yourself and others.
Make the song that needs to come out!
We invite artists in residence to stay in one of the caravans, the casita, or in your own camper to stay with us for a period. Work on your own project in whatever discipline while enjoying freedom.

our philosophy
You live and you die! You get into your coffin with nothing at all, so everything you acquire on Earth is temporary. What you acquire, you can apparently use whether you get it in a fair way or not. But why not share it if you can’t take it with you anyway and actually have everything on loan. Many people suffer from a severe form of greed. We have acquired the mountain with a house by good saving and then working hard to make something beautiful out of it. It’s never finished! Here we want to do all we can to make it beautiful through attention, harmony, vision and work ethic. Please note, if it’s not good what we are doing, we will tear it down and just start all over again like if we are building for eternity. We are artists!
“The most precious moment are the moments you share with others”. But without love, there is no existence. Not everybody is good at sharing but I think we are… Although there are rules: We always work on the basis of trust. If that doesn’t go well, we will ask you to leave the mountain.
Nature and Culture
Nature
Ukulandia is located between two nature reserves. The Alcornocales and Grazalema. And nearby there's also the Sierra de las Nieves. They all have unique nature and possibilities for walks and for example bird watching.
Fiestas
With the very lively culture of Andalusia there is always a holiday that you had not expected. The shops are closed but the bars are not. The next day is often included too, so when the fiesta is on Sunday, you get Monday to sleep off your intoxication. A fiesta is always a day for which you have to take your time.
Hiking and Biking
There are numerous walks to do in the area. Short and long distances. Directly from the house you can walk on a variety of roman roads for some kilometers. But if you really want to go for a serious adventure, for example 10-30km, there are also loads of possibilities in the beautiful surroundings.
